The Breckenridge Nordic Center has a vast selection of cross country skis and snowshoes available for all abilities and ages. We pride ourselves in expert fitting and providing great gear at a great price with 30km of ski and 18 miles of snowshoe trails conveniently located right outside the rental room door. How it Works
From the moment you walk into our building, our kind staff will guide you quickly through the ski rentals process to make sure equipment is just right for you. You can always change sizes, exchange between skis and snowshoes, or upgrade to higher performance equipment to meet your needs.
Once you have the right gear, you are only a few steps and seconds away from beginning your skiing or snowshoeing adventure. If it is your first time or you need additional help, staff and volunteers are standing by to help you get started, adjust equipment, show you the basics of the sport, and point out the trails that are right for you.

Trail Pass Prices
All skiers and snowshoers must purchase and display trail passes for access to our trails. This pass grants skiers and snowshoers access to the groomed Nordic trail system with set tracks for traditional classic style skiing and skate lanes for freestyle Nordic skiing, while snowshoers enjoy use of single-track trails. *Multi-Day Passes may be shared but must be used over multiple days. They are good at multiple Nordic centers throughout the county but must be picked up at the Breckenridge Nordic Center when purchased online. Dogs must stay on trails designated as Dog Friendly Trails and MUST be leashed at all times.

Simple Process
Renting equipment from the Breckenridge Nordic Center is designed to be a seamless and simple process. There is no need to haul equipment in your car. At the Breckenridge Nordic Center, you can pick up your gear and walk right out the back door and onto the snow. We have equipment for all ages and abilities and have “pulk” sleds and Chariots, so you can tow the littlest ones along.

Easy Exchanges
If something doesn’t fit right or you want to try different equipment, you can exchange your equipment at any time. If you are looking for more glide, let us know and we can upgrade you to faster equipment. Feeling confident and ready for a new challenge? Consider trying skate skiing. Classic equipment can be traded in for skate ski equipment for a $5 exchange fee.

Do it All
You can even switch between snowshoes and skis for just $10 at any point during the day. Just let our staff know and they can help you make the switch and show you the different trails.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! You can use your own boots if you wish or we can provide winter boots and poles at no additional charge.
We have shelves to store your boots and shoes while you are out skiing but you may choose to leave your footwear in your vehicle if you prefer. We do not have lockers on site and we ask that any additional belongings like jackets, clothing and backpacks be safely stored in your vehicle and not the Nordic Center Lodge. If you don’t have a vehicle but need to store some items, please let the front desk know.
All rented equipment is due back at the Nordic Center by 4pm. If you are running late, please call the front desk so we know you are safe.
